Kayaking on the Arges River /RO/ to Tutrakan – September 7

September 18, 2026

We are offering for the first time a kayaking trip along the lower reaches of the Romanian Argeș River, which flows into the Danube River opposite the town of Tutracan. It crosses a flat agricultural region, but its banks are diverse. They offer forests, open spaces, steep slopes and in places pleasant shadows. The proximity to the swamps and the Danube River may be the reason for the many species of birds. Otters are also likely to be found here, and according to fishermen, there are also fish. A kayaking trip is the ideal option to enjoy all of this.

The alternation of calmer and more hectic sections, small islands, jutting sandbars, rapids, fallen trees and soaring bridges is exciting. The current is calm and ideal, including for beginners, and at the confluence with the Danube, an impressive view is revealed.
